Update on Updates
We’ve been pushing out some new stuff over the past few weeks!
First of all ‘shares’ are now called ‘views.’ Why we didn’t start with this terminology, we’re not really sure.
To simplify the sharing experience, you no longer are required to login and authenticate private views. Instead, private views are simply assigned a random six-digit string that is appended to the view URL, and they do not appear on your profile.
The idea is that the view creation process will be much simpler and quicker.
Existing private shares have been updated to be private views, and instead of being associated with specific users/email addresses, they have an afore-mentioned six-digit string. Any received shares are still accessible in your Views account, and will become ‘saved views’ in the very near future. These are some very fundamental changes to the service, and we’re getting closer to having a ‘dashboard for your files’ that we’ve been envisioning.
