Saved Views + Color Updates
After months of slightly changing existing features, we finally have a new feature: saved views.
Now, you can easily bookmark any view that you like for easy access via the ‘saved views’ section on your home screen.
Why is this useful?
Views are dynamic objects, unlike, say, blog posts. They are designed to be easily updated by simply dragging and dropping stuff into a folder. So,...

We’ve been pushing out some new stuff over the past few weeks!
First of all ‘shares’ are now called ‘views.’ Why we didn’t start with this terminology, we’re not really sure.
To simplify the sharing experience, you no longer are required to login and authenticate private views. Instead, private views are simply assigned a random six-digit string that is appended to the view URL,...

Updates!
We’ve been busy over here in sunny NYC coding up some improvements to Views.fm, and if you’ve used Views recently you may have already noticed some changes:
#1 Public Comments
You’ve been asking for this, now you have them. You can turn on comments for public shares and any Views.fm user will be able to log in and comment.
#2 PDF Previews / Downloads
We had some issues...

Descriptions, Icons, & More
We made a few subtle improvements to the app. We realized that context is important when creating shares so we changed the ‘e-mail note’ field to a ‘description’ field so that people actually read what you write.
Also redid the icon design and added in some confirmation notifications.
More to come!

Previous and Next when view files in a folder +...
I’m happy to announce the addition of a small, yet crucial feature, previous and next links. When viewing a file on Views.fm you now have previous and next links, like this. It makes browsing image galleries, and skimming through folders less tedious. This was also one of our most requested features since our launch only 5 days ago.
Also making it out tonight, a performance optimization...

I want to change the login name for my account. I was not aware that it would be visible as part of the url for shares. You should make this VERY CLEAR. As a result I either want to cancel my account so that I can re-register with another name or I want to change the user name. I cannot register again as it is because my email name is...

1.0 yo.
tylr:
For the past several months I’ve been working late nights and weekends with Gordon to create Views.fm. Last night we officially launched 1.0.
Views.fm is currently built on top of the Dropbox API. You connect your Dropboxaccount, and you can share any file or folder, privately or publicly with anyone. We also make it incredibly easy to maintain who can see your shares and what is...

Design will be updated soon so it doesn’t look so much like a wireframe, but the core functionality is there and signups are open!
